COLD END MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the maintenance activities in the Cold End area, ensuring equipment reliability, process efficiency, and continuous improvement of production performance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Lead, organize and supervise the maintenance team responsible for Cold End equipment and automation systems;
  • Manage, analyze and actively participate in resolving electrical, electronic and automation-related issues affecting machines and production equipment;
  • Monitor, optimize and improve the performance and reliability of automated systems and machinery;
  • Lead troubleshooting activities for electrical and electronic failures, minimizing production downtime;
  • Participate in the development, improvement and implementation of new automation systems, instrumentation, control schemes and technological solutions aimed at increasing productivity and product quality;
  • Ensure the proper operation and availability of control, measuring and automation equipment supporting production processes;
  • Read, interpret and work confidently with electrical and electronic schematics, technical drawings and documentation;
  • Support the installation, commissioning and start-up of new equipment, upgrades and modernization projects;
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to identify and implement process improvements;
  • Plan preventive and corrective maintenance activities through the scheduled maintenance management system and daily production meetings;
  • Define, manage and control the annual departmental budget;
  • Monitor and optimize maintenance costs, including workshop repair expenses, spare parts consumption and cost-quality improvement initiatives;
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure proper maintenance documentation is maintained and updated;
  • Develop, coach and train maintenance personnel in technical competencies and safety procedures;
  • Maintain and regularly update the skills matrix of all team members;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Production Automation or a related technical field;
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the specialty;
  • Proven experience in maintenance activities within an industrial manufacturing environment;
  • Previous experience in leading teams and managing technical personnel;
  • Fifth Qualification Group according to the Regulations for Safety and Health at Work in Electrical Installations;
  • Fluent English – written and spoken;
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills;
  • Strong understanding of electrical, electronic and automation systems;
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics;
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and maintenance management systems);
  • Experience with industrial controllers, PLC programming and automation software will be considered a strong advantage;
  • Strong leadership and managerial approach;
  • Initiative and proactive mindset;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure;
  • High sense of responsibility and commitment to achieving results.
