Purchasing Specialist

A Purchasing Specialist ensures the company secures the right materials and services at the best possible price and quality. They negotiate with suppliers, manage orders, and monitor deliveries to keep operations running smoothly.

Their strength lies in analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to build strong, long-term supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and comparing suppliers according to quality standards, delivery performance, and cost efficiency ;
  • Establishes and sustains strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers ;
  • Creates, reviews, and manages purchase orders for goods, services, and equipment ;
  • Verifies that all procurement activities comply with company policies and requirements ;
  • Oversees and coordinates day-to-day procurement operations ;
  • Maintains supplier relationships while negotiating delivery schedules, availability, and contractual terms ;
  • Updates and manages supplier databases, procurement records, and supporting documentation ;
  • Coordinates and tracks incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery ;
  • Identifies cost-saving opportunities by streamlining and optimizing procurement processes.
  • Carries out additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree ;
  • At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or a comparable position.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, logistics processes, and inventory control.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP systems.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Аnalytical thinking and negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience in conducting negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting commercial offers in line with company requirements and client needs.
